Guru Granth Sahib Ji Quotes in Punjabi: ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਹਨ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਓਟ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਛਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤਾਂ, ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਓਣ ਦੀ ਸੇਧ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਹਿਮ-ਭਰਮ, ਛੂਆ-ਛਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਵਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਕੂਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਉ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਸੁਖ ਕਿ ਪੁਛਹਿ ਮਿਤ ॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਉ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਉ ਲਾਇ ਚਿਤੁ ॥
If you make friends with the self-willed manmukhs, O friend, who can you ask for peace?Make friends with the Gurmukhs, and focus your consciousness on the True Guru.
ਡੰਡਉਤਿ ਬੰਦਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਸਮਰਥ ॥
ਡੋਲਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਹਥ ॥੧॥
I bow down, and fall to the ground in humble adoration, countless times, to the All-powerful Lord, who possesses all powers.Please protect me, and save me from wandering, God. Reach out and give Nanak Your Hand.
ਰੈਣਿ ਗਵਾਈ ਸੋਇ ਕੈ ਦਿਵਸੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਖਾਇ ॥
ਹੀਰੇ ਜੈਸਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਉਡੀ ਬਦਲੇ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
The nights are wasted sleeping, and the days are wasted eating. Human life is such a precious jewel, but it is being lost in exchange for a mere shell.
ਜੇਤਾ ਸਮੁੰਦੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਨੀਰਿ ਭਰਿਆ ਤੇਤੇ ਅਉਗਣ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਹਰ ਉਪਾਵਹੁ ਡੁਬਦੇ ਪਥਰ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
As the seas and the oceans are overflowing with water, so vast are my own sins. Please, shower me with Your Mercy, and take pity upon me. I am a sinking stone – please carry me across! ||5||

ਏਕ ਨੂਰ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਕਉਨ ਭਲੇ ਕੋ ਮੰਦੇ।।
