ਜੀਰਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ AAP ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਦੇਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਬਾਰੇ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ SSP ਸੋਮਿਆ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "AAP ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਜੋ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਨ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਟਕਰਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰਵਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਘਟਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਈ। ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਖਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ FIR ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ... ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।"

On clash between AAP & Congress workers in Zira town, Ferozepur SSP Somya Mishra says, "Candidates of AAP and Congress who had come here to file their nomination clashed and an incident of stone pelting also took place. Immediately police intervened and we are taking action as per law and FIR will be registered. Presently, the situation is under control... We will verify all angles.
