According to the incident, a car fell into the Sirhind canal in Fidde Kalan village on Saturday (26 July) evening. The car was carrying military personnel Baljit Singh, a resident of village Sadhanwala, and his wife Mandeep Kaur, who were returning after meeting their relatives in Fidde Kalan. After a complaint from the police administration, the NDRF team reached the spot on Saturday night and started searching in the canal, but till now neither any trace of the car has been found nor any information about the couple has been received. According to the information, military personnel Baljit Singh was on leave these days and had come to Faridkot in his car to shop.
